Abstract From the Canadian patent

Locking arrangement for fluids under high pressure. The housing of the apparatus has a cylindrical hollow space, into which an inlet, an outlet and a relief channel lead. A pair of pistons, connected by a rod may be pushed back and forth between a closed position and an open position by means of two pneumatically operable single-action piston-cylinder units between a closed position and open position. In the closed position one of the pistons of the pair of pistons closes the connecting path between the inlet channel and the outlet channel and the other piston opens up the connecting path between the outlet channel and the relief channel.
