C3+ olefins are separated, for example by condensa-, tion, sorption and fractionation from the hydrocarbon product, obtained by contacting methanol and/or dimethyl ether with a zeolite catalyst, and reacted with isoparaffins such as isobutane to obtain, C7+ alkylate gasoline.
