Abstract, The present invention relates to an assay for measuring total serum diqoxin using a combination of centrifugal ultrafiltration and dissociation agents used to dissociate the digoxin bound to the serum proteins. A number of compounds have been found to be effective either alone or in combination in dissociating protein-bound digoxin from the serum proteins. Examples of such effective dissociation agents include quindine, Vitamin E (.alpha.-tocophecol) lower, alkanols, and C3-C26 fatty acids most preferably long, chain saturated and unsaturated fatty acids.

Why it's free to use
- Granted May 8, 1990. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 8, 2007.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
