A mass flow meter working on the Coriolis principle comprises two straight measuring tubes (1,2) extending parallel to each other in juxtaposition. With the aid of two tube connectors (3 4), they, are connected in parallel fluid mechanically. Compensating tubes (5, 6) extend from respectively one tube connector (3 4) up to a, central zone (7). They have substantially the same coefficient of thermal expansion as the measuring tubes (1 2). The supply and, discharge passages (11 12) lead from the central zone (7) to the associated connection (14, 15). In this way one obtains a late-, rally compact meter which works independently of the temperature.

Why it's free to use
- Granted May 1, 1990. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 1, 2007.
