Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method and apparatus are disclosed for measuring the compactibility of a fresh concrete mass or the purpose of obtaining information as to the applicability of the mass with respect to the strength properties of the cast product. A sample having a determined weight (m) is taken from the mass and compressed in two opposite directions with a constant force (P) and planes which extend in parallel with each other and alter their positions through rotation. The volume (V, Vt) of the sample is determined at the beginning of the compaction and after a predetermined compaction work, after which the volume change of the sample is compared with experimentally defined limit values. The apparatus …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted April 24, 1990. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended April 24, 2007.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
