A compound sliding body, particularly for seals with liquid filled sealing surfaces, which comprises one or more stacks of laminated thin form elements, preferably ceramic foils. Chambers or cut-outs can be formed in the stacks separate from one another, superimposed and interconnected and having inlets and outlets for the fluid. A membrane may be included between the sealing surfaces, formed with depressions in its surface for improving the sealing and reducing friction and wear.
