Abstract:, A pulser circuit comprises a transistor with its drain and source arranged in parallel with a first resistor and, two SCR's each arranged in parallel with a further resistor. These elements are arranged as a series circuit across a capacitor, and a supply terminal is connected to the capacitor for charging the same. The gate of the transistor can be triggered to short circuit the first resistor and hence increase the forward voltage across each SCR. This increased voltage causes breakover of the SCR's and hence discharge of the capacitor through the series circuit of the SCR's and the transistor in avalanche mode until the voltage drops sufficiently to permit recovery of the …

Why it's free to use
- Granted March 20, 1990. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended March 20, 2007.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
