Abstract From the Canadian patent

6-Oxygenated-1,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzcdindol-4-amines having the following structure, wherein R1 is hydrogen or C1-5alkyl and R2 and R3 are, the same or different and are hydrogen C1-4alkyl, phenyl(CH2)n where n is 0 to 3 C5-6cycloalkyl, or C3-5, alkenyl are prepared by reductive amination of the corresponding indol-4-ones, or by hydrogenation of 4-nitro-1,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzcdindoles. These compounds are active as serotonin antagonists.
