Abstract From the Canadian patent

A novel process is provided herein for the production of a solid, particulate immobilised extractant. The process comprises first adsorbing (a) a liquid extractant which is not homopolymerisable onto (b) a porous, solid, particulate substrate. Then, a monomer (c) is adsorbed onto the substrate. Finally the, adsorbed monomer (c) is polymerised thereby entrapping the, liquid extractant (a) on the substrate (b).

Why it's free to use

  • Granted December 5, 1989. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 5, 2006.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
