Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure, A microprocessor stepper motor drive uses a single acceleration/deceleration profile regardless of the final velocity of the device being driven. A first down counter stores the desired final velocity from a microprocessor. An acceleration/deceleration profile is stored in a storage device and added to the desired final velocity to produce a smooth velocity profile.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted August 15, 1989. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended August 15, 2006.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
