Abstract From the Canadian patent

An assembly for stabilizing engine operation in an engine-generator set includes a fuel supply and fuel lines to first and second banks of engine cylinders. A fuel valve is positioned in the fuel line to the first bank of cylinders and is controlled by a normally open switch and a normally closed switch. In the closed position of the fuel valve the cylinders in the first bank act as a load on the cylinders in the second bank. The assembly includes a voltage sensor for sensing voltage generated by the engine-generator set. Once voltage exceeds a predetermined level, the sensor terminates fuel flow to the first bank. The assembly also includes a load sensor for sensing load imposed on the …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 20, 1989. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 20, 2006.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
