Abstract From the Canadian patent

A characteristic feature of the present invention resides in that the diamond-impregnated layer of the drilling bit matrix is shaped as a parallelepiped having its front and rear faces inclined while the insert is shaped as a triangular prism, one of whose side faces is rigidly coupled to the weld-on layer and the face, to the inclined rear face of the diamond-impregnated layer.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted April 11, 1989. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended April 11, 2006.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
