The procedure for prolonging the life of wood-cutting tools relates to the cutting of green wood and comparable organic materials. The applicant has already earlier more than 30, years ago, shown that the dulling of tools in such cutting is mainly corrosion of the cutting edge of the tool which could, be almost completely prevented under laboratory conditions by applying a high-voltage direct current. The present invention enables the dulling to be limited also in practice.
