22-, Abstract of the Disclosure, Friction Couple Cooling system Responsive to Actuation Thereof, Cooling systems for friction couples such as clutches are useful, for example, in industrial vehicles that utilize large capacity clutches which generate large amounts of heat when the clutches are being engaged. Other cooling systems either reduce or totally eliminate cooling flow during disengagement while adding additional flow for cooling during partial engagement but in these systems they normally maintain the additional cooling flow after full engagement. In such cooling systems, the additional fluid flow being provided after full engagement results in unnecessary use of horsepower. …
