PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR SLEEVE REPAIR OF PIPE LINE" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE, A longitudinally split cylindrical sleeve consisting of two, half shells, is applied to an internally pressurized pipe to reinforce, a section of the pipe wall weakened by an internal or external defect. One pair of adjacent shell ends are first welded together along their length with the shells in place on the pipe in a relaxed condition. The other pair of adjacent shell ends are equipped with longitudinally extending, outwardly projecting, attached shoulder lugs.
