Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for the production of aldehydes from olefins with CO/H2 in the presence of a water-soluble rhodiumcontaining catalyst system is described. The reaction proceeds at 0.1 to 10 MPa and 20 to 160°C. Ultrasound acts on the reaction mixture, consisting of an aqueous catalyst, an olefin, synthesis gas and the end products. * * * * The present invention relates to a process for the production of aldehydes by hydroformylation of olefins in the presence of water-soluble rhodium complex catalysts. The production of aldehydes and alcohols by reaction of olefins with carbon monoxide and hydrogen is known. The reaction is catalyzed by hydridometal carbonyls preferably those of the metals of …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 31, 1988. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 31, 2005.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
