A flexible panel assembly including front rear and opposite, side marginal portions is provided and the opposite side marginal portions include tubular hems in which stiff strap type mounting bars are received. The opposite side mounting portions overlie front-to-rear extending opposite side support members of a wheelchair and are secured thereto by fasteners secured downwardly through the panel assembly including the, mounting bars, and anchored in the aforementioned support members.
