Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for enhancing the growth rate of meat-producing animals and/or improving the efficiency of feed utilization thereby, which involves orally or, parenterally, administrating to said animals a growthenhancing amount of a phenylethane compound or the acid addition salt thereof.
