A common substrate includes means for connecting the fiber, laser and photodiode to the device. A first film waveguide is disposed on the substrate and presents a first beam path between the means for connecting the fiber and the means for connecting the photodiode. A refraction grid is disposed in the first beam path of the film waveguide. A second film waveguide is disposed on the substrate and presents a second beam path between the means for connecting the laser and the refraction grid. The refraction grid is constructed and positioned on the substrate so that the refraction grid …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 24, 1988. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 24, 2005.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
