Abstract From the Canadian patent

A base-coupled logic gate is characterized by input Schottky diode that are directly formed on the base region of the switching transistor for the gate. A logic of this type provides flexible circuit arrangements and savings in required area, while achieving very high speeds. As a result of the savings in area, the buried layer capacitance of the gate is also reduced, which facilitates the high-speed operation of the circuit.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 17, 1988. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 17, 2005.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
