Abstract From the Canadian patent

A wire stripping plier has two crossing pivotable arms with hand grips and gripping jaws for gripping the insulation to be stripped from the wire. Two opposing stripping members are provided in the plier which members can be longitudinally displaced one relative to another upon the pivoting movement of the hand grips towards each other after the insulation has been severed from the wire. Due to this longitudinal displacement the severed insulation is stripped from the wire. -A-

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 10, 1988. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 10, 2005.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
