Aromatic-2,3-dihydro-1,4-oxazepin-5(4H)-ones and sulfur analogs thereof having the formula whexein B and E are oxygen and/or sulfur n is 1, 2 or, 3, Z is -NR1R2, 1H-pyrazol-l-yl ox 1H-imidazol-l-yl and R is loweralkyl, cycloalkyl or phenylloweralkyl having antihistaminic application, a process for the preparation thereof, and intermediates therefor are disclosed.
