Abstract From the Canadian patent

An improved method for confining chemical treatment agents to areas of application and adjacent areas desired to be treated employing films made from olefin polymers. The olefin polymer film contains derivatives of fatty acid which reduces the permeability of the film as evidenced by reduction in the diffusion rates of the chemical treatment agents through the film. The films are suitably employed as soil fumigation tarpaulins or soil covering materials. -32-

Why it's free to use

  • Granted March 1, 1988. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended March 1, 2005.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
