Abstract From the Canadian patent

A multi-conductor insulated electrical ribbon cable having webs of insulation for spacing apart and joining the cable conductors in a continuous generally flat array. The webs are adapted Whitehall lengthwise grooves. The grooves are positioned in close proximity to the conductors thereby, facilitating severance of the webs in a manner which will allow the cable to be easily and reliably terminated to an insulation misplacement connector without removal of the webs by the separate step of notching.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 30, 1986. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 30, 2003.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
