Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for non-destructively grading fruits can be practically attained by utilizing nuclear magnetic resonance phenomenon, and hence an individual test of the whole group of fruits can be realized without any change of taste. Moreover, the fruit grading method is extremely simplified by employing water contained in fruits as a standard substance used for calibrating measured values to estimate quality of fruits.
