Abstract From the Canadian patent

Apparatus for simultaneously rewinding a plurality of metal strips which are cut from a wide metal strip or web and which provides for rewinding all of the strips into corresponding coils with a substantially constant and uniform tension within the strips. The rewinding apparatus of the invention eliminates the need for constructing a pit to accommodate progressive accumulations of the strips in a form of loops and assures that all of the coils are wound with substantially the same tightness.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 30, 1986. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 30, 2003.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
