Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract The receiver receives a transmitted signal of which the modulation is one trigonometric transform function of a desired information signal. The desired signal is recovered by first deriving the Hilbert transform of the sine transform, and multiplying it by the signum of the derivative of the original audio signal to obtain the cosine transform. The sine and cosine transforms are then decoded to obtain the original audio signal.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 9, 1986. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 9, 2003.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
