Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention provides a continuous liquid-liquid extraction apparatus comprising a tank having inlet or outlet means near each end and a plurality of partitions positioned within it defining at least one settling chamber and a plurality of mixing chambers. Each partition has at least one aperture through which liquid may flow from chamber to chamber. Means are provided within each mixing chamber for agitating the liquid therein. The agitation provided is gentler than found in conventional devices so that less energy is required and settling times are greatly reduced.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted August 26, 1986. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended August 26, 2003.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
