Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract:, The invention provides a pigment-containing composition comprising at least one organic pigment irradiated with a low-temperature plasma and at least one polar resin or solvent. The irradiation of the pigment imparts polarity to the particle surfaces and greatly improves the dispersibility of the particles in the polar resin or solvent. However the desirable properties of the pigment particles are not adversely affected by the plasma treatment.
