Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure An improved process is provided for the recovery of a polymer from a solution thereof in an organic solvent by contact with steam and water wherein economics in the use of energy are achieved by controlling the contact of said solution with steam and water to provide a predetermined amount of residual solvent in the polymer said, contact being under conditions of controlled temperature and pressure. Such a process may be used for the recovery, for example, of polybutadiene from a solution in a benzene-butene-1 mixture.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 17, 1986. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 17, 2003.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
