Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method and apparatus for the controlled aeration of stored grain is disclosed that provides for aeration of grain when ambient temperature and relative humidity levels are within a specified range of optimum levels. Aeration of grain is initiated when both the current ambient air temperature is within an acceptable range of the recent average air temperature and the, equilibrium moisture content supported by the current air temperature and relative humidity levels is within an acceptable range of the desired grain moisture content. Long periods between aeration are avoided by progressively widening the range of acceptable current ambient air temperature and equilibrium moisture content …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 17, 1986. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 17, 2003.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
