A cover for use in covering a part of an engine which generates noise, said cover comprising a fibrous composite layer which includes a fiber material a synthetic, resin, and a cross-linking agent for cross-linking said resin, and an impregnated rubber material said rubber, material being dispersed essentially throughout said composite layer. And a method for producing such a cover.
