Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention is a dry flushing toilet wherein an animal excretes onto a measured portion of absorbant granular material (litter) dispensed onto a circular tray from an adjacent hopper. The filling of the tray with litter is accomplished by rotating it under the outlet of the hopper. Contaminated litter is disposed of through a hole in the centre of the tray into a lower storage container when a simple shutter is opened.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted December 31, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 31, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
