A deep drawing machine for manufacturing containers from thermoplastic foil material has an arrangement for inserting banderole-shaped strip section into the hollow mold prior to the deep drawing step. The machine includes support means for a roll of foil material means for transporting the, foil material a heating arrangement and a forming arrangement. The forming arrangement has a stationary counter mold the hollow mold being movable per-, pendicular to the foil plane and being pressed against the counter mold after the heating of the foil.
