Abstract From the Canadian patent

A full wave rectifier includes an operational amplifier having a non-inverting grounded input, an inverting input and an output. A first resistor is connected between the inverting input and the input terminal of the rectifier and a second resistor having the same resistance as the first resistor is connected between the inverting input and the output terminal of the rectifier. These two resistors serve as a gain setter for the rectifier. A depletion type MOS FET is connected between the output of the operational amplifier and the output terminal of the rectifier. The invention increases the rectification range achieved by conventional rectifiers which use a diode at the output of the …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted November 19, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended November 19, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
