Abstract From the Canadian patent

In a method and an instrument for testing materials on the Eddy current principle, at different frequencies depending on the output signal of a coil system, compensation values are generated which are typical of interfering factors. These compensation values are subsequently superimposed on the output signal in order to remove the influence of the interfering factors on the measurement. In this manner with a favorable setting of the working point of an amplifier receiving the output values is obtained, an overmodulation avoided, and the dynamic range of the amplifier optimally utilized. Therefore good measuring results can be obtained even if the percentage of the interfering signals as …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted October 1, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended October 1, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
