Abstract From the Canadian patent

In the recovery of substances such as solvents adsorbed on sorption agents, the water present means that the solvents have to be worked up. Anhydrous recovery can be achieved if water is removed from the cycled gaseous desorption agent. An adsorptive dryer incorporated in the circuit stores this water, which, after the end of the desorption phase is available once more for remoistening the activated charcoal. This remoistening of the activated charcoal prevents a spontaneous ignition of the dry charcoal. In order to be able to transfer the heat as well as transfer the water from the sorption agent to the adsorptive dryer and back again, adsorptive dryers and regenerative heat stores are …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 11, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 11, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
