Disclosed herein is a CD power pack tester adapted for connection to an AC line and to a CD power pack, the CD power pack including a rectifier circuit connected to a charge capacitor and an ignition SCR which allows the charge capacitor to discharge through an engine ignition coil to effect firing of an engine spark gap.
