Abstract From the Canadian patent

A pressure regulating valve for a vehicle fluidic brake system regulates the input to output pressure relationship and has a cam whose position selectively restricts the function of the valve, thereby modifying the input to output pressure relationship. The cam includes a rotatable shaft and a coupling between the cam and the shaft for driving the cam in response to the shaft. The coupling includes a lost motion whereby the shaft functions independently of the cam whenever the cam exhibits a predetermined resistive force.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 4, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 4, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
