Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure An aseptic yoghurt having an extended shelf life is prepared by a unique combination of natural yoghurt formulations including relatively low levels of sugar and starch and special processing conditions whereby the protein in the natural yoghurt is preconditioned whilst the starch remains substantially unaltered following which homogenization at lower than usual pressures followed by pasteurization gives the desired product which has an extended shelf life without refrigeration.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted February 19, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended February 19, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
