Abstract From the Canadian patent

In electric energy transmission equipment it is often necessary to connect high-tension lines and the like together. In order to avoid negative effects reflecting back into the line network and the generators the phase angles of, the alternating voltages to be connected together must agree. For this purpose in practice, capacitive or inductive reactive powers have hitherto been connected into the circuit. Such compensation can be continuously carried out by means of a method and a device for carrying out the method which, considerably increases operational reliability. For this purpose, a correcting voltage (UZ) is inductively added to a high-tension line (HL) via a correcting transformer …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted January 29, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended January 29, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
