Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract An intraocular lens for use as an artificial lens implant anteriorly of the iris which has at least a pair of position fixation elements providing a multi-point support for the lens. The position fixation elements are constructed and arranged for sufficient flexibility to permit a single lens to have the capability of being used as an implant in eyes with anterior chamber diameters of a substantial variety of sizes, thereby minimizing the inventory of lenses necessary to be maintained in operating rooms.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted January 22, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended January 22, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
