Abstract From the Canadian patent

A description is given of a method for non-contact measurement of direct and alternating currents, more particularly instantaneous current-values using an iron-circuit having an air-gap a magnetic-field-dependent resistor, through which a control-current flows and at least one winding through which a measuring current flows. In order to obtain the highest possible measuring speed which will detect a rapid instaneous value e.g. any high peak-currents, arising, at an equivalent current winding is arranged in the iron circuit. The voltage-drops at the magnetic-field-dependent resistor in the event of peak-, values or other typical values of the current to be measured are detected and, stored, …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted January 2, 1985. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended January 2, 2002.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
