Abstract From the Canadian patent

A pollen trap is disclosed for use on honey bee colonies in which a pollen collecting drawer may be removable from any side of the hive. The trap provides a cluster space for the worker bees and forms with the bottom board a hive entranceway for the worker bees. The trap can also be effectively positioned at the middle or top of the hive and can be used in double queen colonies as queen excluders.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted February 14, 1984. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended February 14, 2001.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
