Two waveform traces to be simultaneously displayed are sampled and converted to a series of digital sample values. An electro-optic display e.g. a liquid crystal or electroluminescent display has a first m set and a second n set of electrodes arranged in a matrix having m x n display elements. The matrix may be in cartesian XY or r .THETA. polar co-ordinate format. In one form the m set of electrodes are arranged in two subsets alternating with one another forming a subset mo of odd rows and a subset me of even rows. Coded waveforms Vi, each having a different shape over a period T are applied to one subset mo of the m electrodes whilst another voltage is applied to the other subset me of m …

Why it's free to use
- Granted December 21, 1982. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 21, 1999.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
