Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract, An apparatus for near infrared quantitative analysis with an infrared emitting diode (IRED) source utilizes narrow bandpass filters and silicon detectors to provide highly accurate and inexpensive measurement. A narrow bandpass filter in the light path of the IRED passes wavelengths outside the half power bandwidth paints of the IRED. A silicon detector together with a sensitive amplifier is used to accurately measure linearly up to six decades of light sensitivity at desired wavelengths,

Why it's free to use

  • Granted December 21, 1982. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 21, 1999.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
