Abstract of the Disclosure, Apparatus and method for chromatographic separation and quantitation of different ions of like charges in a sample e.g. cations or anions. Referring to anion separation the, sample is directed to a first chromatographic column of the ion exclusion type in which the weak acids (e.g. carboxylic acids) and their salts are resolved and separated from a fraction of strong acids (e.g. mineral acids) due to Donnan exclusion. The resolved weak acids are passed to a conductivity cell for quantitative detection. The strong acids are directed to anion exchange bed with a highly ionized developing reagent and eluted in resolved form. The effluent is passed to a suppressor …

Why it's free to use
- Granted November 9, 1982. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended November 9, 1999.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
