A molding apparatus for manufacturing a molded golf club grip includes a mold member having a generally cylindrical shaped cavity disposed therein and defined by an internal annular surface. The cavity has a longitudinal axis and a circular cross sectional configuration. An elongate core bar is disposable within the cavity with the longitudinal axis of the cavity and the core bar being coextensive.
