The present invention relates to improvements in a commercial process for non-tubular cracking of heavy hydrocarbon feeds for the purposes of producing ethylene and other valuable olefin products as well as chemical grade synthesis gas. The prior art cracking processes fail to present a practical and economical process for producing high yields of ethylene by the diacritic cracking of heavy hydrocarbon feed stocks at elevated Pressures in such a way that the reacotr and subsequent heat exchange equipment will not be adversely affected by severy coking. According to the present invention, a fuel is combusted with oxygen in the first section of the multi zone reactor. The high temperature …

Why it's free to use
- Granted December 1, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 1, 1998.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
