A chain link composed of two side plates converging at one end towards each other so that the link shows one narrow end and one wider end, respectively, the narrower end fitting inside the wider end of the next link in a known manner and the side plates being interconnected at their wider end by a fixed pin or similar having an arris therealong which arris is positioned on that side of the pin facing the side plate center but outside the over all longitudinal centrum plane of the chain and the side plates being provided at the narrower end of the link with aligned openings through which the pin of an adjacent link can freely extend, a transversal plane surface being provided at an outer …
